The scale of F major is F, G, A, B flat (b) C, D, E, F.

Tone, tone, semitone (A to B flat), tone, tone, tone,
semitone (E to F).

The black notes can be called sharps or flats.
It depends what key the music is in. An A sharp is the same black key as B flat. An F sharp is the same black key as G flat.
