Cardinals are birds living in North and South
America. They mate in early spring and their
mating call is distinctive.
These are seed-eating birds, with strong bills.
The sexes usually have distinctive appearances; the family is named for
the red plumage of the males.
Their diet includes seeds and small berries. This
video was filmed in February in Central Texas.
